Breakfast

Gourmet breakfasts are included with each room. Tables in the fireside dining room are set with crisp linens, Villeroy and Boch china and fresh flowers. Breakfast fare varies daily, and may include fresh fruits and juices, homemade breads and muffins, breakfast souffles, Canadian bacon, cinnamon orange French toast, and coffee and tea.

At Chester, we realize that you’ve come to get away and often want your privacy. For that reason, guests have their own tables. However, should you happen to strike up a conversation with other guests and wish to dine with them the following morning, we are happy to arrange it for you!

Dinners

Chester's dining room and spacious porches provide an intimate atmosphere for dining. Gourmet dinners with wine are available any evening. Please call ahead to discuss available menus and pricing. Up to 20 persons can be accommodated for special occasion meals.

For a sample of the local life, enjoy delicious home cooking at Lumpkin’s Restaurant (open for lunch and early dinner).

Scottsville is proud to welcome two great new restuarants to the area. Amici's – a family owned Italian restaurant, and the Horseshoe Bend Bistro – innovative, upscale food in a comfortable setting.

For an authentic Jeffersonian meal, dine at the Michie Tavern near Monticello, a 20 minute drive from the inn.
