Guest Rooms
All of the guest rooms at Chester are elegantly appointed with oriental rugs, four-poster beds, wood burning fireplaces and private baths. Luxurious down comforters, plush towels, fresh flowers, and L'Occitane beauty products add to Chester’s fine amenities. Nightly turndown service adds a extra touch of pampering. The inn is climate-controlled year-round for guests’ comfort.
Room 1 - American Holly
This first-floor room is spacious and inviting, with two comfortable wing chairs by the fire for reading and visiting. Fall asleep to the distant sound of the garden fountain, and step onto the patio by the pond for an early morning walk from your own private entrance.
Room 2 - Tulip Poplar
This first-floor room has a four-poster bed facing the woodburning fireplace, and a spacious bathroom. Warm and inviting, it is the perfect place to enjoy a good book in bed or a glass of wine by the fire.
Room 3 - Magnolia
This second-floor room is cozy and warm, with a sumptuous chaise lounge next to the fireplace, and a romantic four-poster wrought iron bed. The bath has a large glass-enclosed shower. It’s the perfect room for stress-free relaxation.
Room 4 - White Oak
This second-floor room is large and airy, overlooking the grounds of Chester through five original large windows. Where most of our bridal couples stay, this room features a sitting area, writing desk, woodburning fireplace, and a spacious bathroom.
Room 5 - Franklinia
Overlooking the front balcony and facing the setting sun, this second-floor room is a beautiful place to spend a romantic evening. Two wing chairs surround the fireplace and the four-poster bed has a perfect yet private view out the front window. Like all of our rooms, it is also equipped with a spacious private bathroom.
The Cottage Suite
For those who seek an intimate respite from daily life, Chester’s Cottage Suite provides a private and peaceful escape. A warm and inviting sitting room provides a cozy place to relax in front of the fire or watch a movie. The four-poster bed in the luxurious bedroom is the perfect place to end your day. Then, start your morning with a cup of freshly brewed coffee and a view of the landscaped grounds and gardens from the rocking chairs on your private porch.
